The Pupil Parent Partnership is an innovative not for profit company that supports difficult young people and their families in a holistic therapeutic manner across West London. We employ people from a range of backgrounds including teaching, counselling, mentoring, youth and social work as well as volunteers to support young people in their community and to promote social inclusion.
Working with disengaged young people can be difficult; it takes patience and a willingness to adopt flexible and creative ways of working. However the benefit is that you get to work as part of team that is making a difference to the lives of young people.
We are currently seeking a committed and resilient EWO to build strong and trusting relationship with young people and their families so that they are empowered to make better choices in life. The role will focus on being able to follow through legal sanctions including parental non-attendance prosecutions, fixed penalty notices and orders in relation to education matters, anti-social behavior and youth crime. This role involves delivering group sessions, individual and family work to motivate and encourage attendance and attainment.
You must have the ability to work with young people who have emotional and behavioural difficulties, engage with their families and liaise with other agencies.
Ideally you will hold a relevant qualification in working with young people and the ability to engage both young people and their parents. Once here you can expect the support of a progressive team and every chance to develop professionally and personally.
