Part Time Year 9 Programme
The Part Time Programmes are designed to target students still at school / PRU but who are identified as ‘at risk’ or hard to reach.
These programmes complement the education that a student undertakes at school / PRU. Their aim is to support and re-engage students
What Students Receive

Vocational courses
Year 9s access a one-day-per-week Carousel of Arts and Media based activities:
• Emotional Literacy Activities: Forum Theatre, Group Sessions, Project Brief
• Project-Based Arts and Media Activities: National Curriculum-related activities incorporating Literacy and Numeracy
• Learning how to Learn: Exploring Learning Styles, Building Learning Power Techniques, Innovating Learning Aids
• Project-Based Arts and Media Activities
• Individual Sessions
• Family Work: Involving parents/carers to appreciate our approach to working with young people, discuss how we can support each other, and increase capacity to parent effectively
• Project Related Activities: Outdoor Experiences, Educational visits, Project research
Year 9 students have access to reintegration to mainstream course in Year 10.
